This DC/DC converter is used to regulate the input voltage, which is always higher than the output voltage. It is a step-down type that has an input voltage range from 4.5 to 24 V. The output voltage ranges from 0.8 to 17 V. The value of the output voltage can be adjusted using a rotary trimmer. A fixed output voltage can also be set, but the module is factory set as adjustable. The step-down module can also be controlled thanks to the enable pin, which activates/deactivates the inverter. The module includes short-circuit protection.

Connection:
The module has 4 solder connectors. Connect the input voltage to the IN+ and GND connectors, connect the load to the VO+ and GND terminals. Grounding is common for input and output voltages. In addition, the module has an input (EN – enable) that can activate (log. 1 - native) and deactivate (log. 0) the inverter.

Adjustable fixed output voltage:
It is enough to solder together the two surfaces at the appropriate voltage, which are on the back of the inverter. The fixed voltage can be set to 1.8; 2.5; 3.5; 5 or 12 V. It is also necessary to break the ADJ connection, preferably with a sharp object. However, the user loses the ability to control the output voltage with the trimmer.
